The FHC Community Education Foundation (CEF) has announced the availability of application packets for the spring 2017 scholarship cycle.  The CEF expects to award up to $12,000 in scholarships, with individual awards made in the amount of $500 or $1000. Members of the FHC extended family and community seeking post-high school education are encouraged to apply.  The “FHC extended family” is defined as FHC employees and their families, the residents of surrounding campus locations in Bowdoin, Maine and Greenville, Pennsylvania, as well as the immediate family members of our vendors and customers. “Community” is defined as any resident of the Midcoast Maine area.

This spring, the CEF will also award the first Brian Carter Memorial Scholarship.  The scholarship commemorates some of the life interests of longtime friend and associate, FHCer Brian Carter.  Donated by an FHCer, this $500 award will be presented to a deserving student pursuing post high school studies in one of the following areas: photography, machine tool techniques, conservation or wildlife studies, music, or aviation.

Completed applications should be submitted by January 31, 2017.  More CEF scholarship information, including application materials, can be found by clicking here.
